What Causes Stomach Bloating And Constipation?
Question: I have bloating sensation in my stomach and constipation and my appetite has also reduced. I am 63 yrs old. pl advise.

First thing I would advise you is to take medicine as per doctor's advice. Medical shop guys are not qualified guys to prescribe medicines.
You need to stop taking dulcolax. Laxative abuse can lead to harmful effects.
For good bowel movements the following should be done -
1. Take high fiber diet that incudes lot of vegetables, greens and fruits. You can take fiber supplements like Cremadiet.
2. Drink enough fluids
3. Thirty minutes of brisk walking every day.
Since you are 63 years old and that are constipated get a stool occult blood test done.
For the bloating sensation, see if normalizing bowel movements help. If not, then take prokinetic meedications like levosupiride after consulting your doctor. You need to check your blood glucose and you may require an upper GI endoscopy especially if there is loss of appetite and loss of weight.
