What Causes Stomach Pain Along With Vomiting And Throat Pain?

Question: My cousin, staying in XXXXXXX 20 years male and has been feeling pain in stomach and throat from two days. Whenever he tries to eat something, it pains in throat and stomach as well. He took OMEZ D tablet and ENO two times as medication till now.

Visited physician today and he adviced medicines below for 2 days.

AZEE 500mg [1-0-0]
EMESET 4mg [1-0-1]
PAN 40MG [1-0-1]

Also having vomiting several times after eating something from last two days.

Would you suggest anything more at this point?

Hi,

Thanks for the query.

From the description provided by you and the treatment given by your doctor, I feel that your cousin is suffering with Acute gastroenteritis(food poisoning). The doctor has provided him/her the right advise and ask him/her to continue with that as advised.

Along with the medications ask him/her to follow these measures:
1. Consumption of plenty of water and fruit juices. Make sure he/she consumes a minimum of 3 to 4 ltrs/day of water and fruit juices and tender coconut as required. This will help in avoiding dehydration.
2. Electral powder - A XXXXXXX of electral powder in a 1 ltr water bottle and asking to drink as much as possible every time he/she passes motion.
3. Avoid oily and spicy food.
4. Avoid outside(hotel or stall) food.
5. Consumption of soft and easily digestible food items like idly, upma till the symptoms are resolved.

Thanks for the followup.

Yes, he can start the medications prescribed by the doctor tonight. Azee 500mg is an antibiotic and needs to be taken once a day. If he takes tonight ask him to continue using at the same time every day after food. Emeset too is after food but Pan 40 is to be taken half an hour before food.
