Brief Answer:
Hematoma or bruise likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The swelling and black and blue discoloration is suggestive of a bruise formation or hematoma due to bleeding in the area. You can do a cold compress in the area to prevent any further bleeding.
You can practice what is called R.I.C.E. This stands for rest, icing the area of injury, compression-use a bandage to reduce the swelling and elevation- elevation of the affected area reduces the swelling and may also have a positive impact on the pain and bleeding.
In case there is a considerable swelling or there is an increase in the swelling then do consider visiting your physician for evaluation.
I hope this answers your query.
