What Causes Swollen Leg And Pus Discharge From Lower Part Of Leg?

Question: Patient is about 79 years old and is under the medication of Hepatitis B for the last three years now. Recently his left leg down the knee has got badly swollen and just three days back it has started to give out puss like fluid from the lower part of the leg. Please suggest !

At the outset I would like further information for proper assessment of the condition

if possible upload me a photograph
Complete relevant medical history like diabetes or varicose vein or deep vein thrombosis
His weight height and life style like walking actively or bed ridden ?
What all medicines he is taking?

Meanwhile ask him for leg elevation by putting pillows underneath it.
He should clean the would with antiseptic solution and apply antibacterial dressing to avoid superadded infection .
