Question: i have bug bites on my penis that swell up? any clue what its from?

I can understand your concern for the problem of bug bites on penis and other sites of body.
There can be multiple possibilities of the eruptions most probably of "scabies" which has same type of distribution of eruptions with intense night itching. To diagnose the exact entity I request you to kindly upload few good resolution pictures of the affected area so that I can analyze it better.
Kindly send good resolution pictures focusing the area of concern which can be seen on higher magnification. For uploading the pictures you have a facility on the right side of the page or can send on:

i sent you pictures from my penis and waistline. Also i sent a pic of a glue trap that i set up near the floor and it has little bugs that i think may be causing the problem but i have no idea what they are. my girl friend lives with me and she also has a few bites but not near as bad as me, my brother also lives with me and he told me he had 2 bites recently show up on his penis in the middle of the night and he has bites on his stomach and arms. I also have a dog if that matters, i noticed he was itching a litttle but nothing major. i treated him for fleas a few days ago and today i bombed the house with a flea bomber. Also the redness and swelling on my penis went down a little after i rubbed cortizone all over it.

After reading your query with diligence I can make out that you are suffering from the problem of Scabies and pediculosis.
To tell you about Scabies : It is a parasitic infestation by a mite. It is specifically manifested as crawling sensation all over the body. This is typically worse at night time. There are small bumps particularly over web spaces of hands, arm pits, around nipples, abdomen and most specifically over genital areas.
Once it occurs then it is rule that other family members are also affected in short period of time. As I can get your history, I can find out that other members are also affected.
Pediculosis is also scabies type of infestation and typically the flea kind of thing are mites of same.
Fortunately the treatment for both the things is same. In my patients I prefer the overnight application of "Permethrin" 5% lotion or cream below neck area. Do not leave or spare any area. Ask your girlfriend and brother or anyone else staying with you to apply the cream cream on same day so that any treatment of the mites can be taken care of. Once you apply it gives complete relief.
Reapplication after 7 days is better to take care of the problem on better of the side.
Iron all your clothes from inside and keep all your linens, bed sheets and clothes in direct sunlight fr 6 hours daily.
Fumigate the beds and mattresses with insecticidal sprays.
