What Causes Tightness Around Ankles When Diagnosed With Hammertoes And Varicose Veins?

Question: YES, THANK YOU. FOR A FEW YEARS NOW MY FEET FEEL LIKE THEY ARE IN A CAST, A CERTAIN FEELING OF TENDONS DRAWING TIGHT UP TO THE ANKLES...I AM NOT DIABETIC. I DO HAVE HAMMERTOES, VARICOSE VEINS IN BOTH LEGS, BUT WORSE IN LEFT, AND LATERAL COMPARTMENT OSTEOARTHRITIS OF BOTH KNEES. AFTER STRETCHING MY FEET OUT, THEY DO FEEL SOMEWHAT BETTER, BUT, IT IS CONTANT AND DEFINITELY GETTING WORSE. I HAVE HIGH ARCHES....

Well madam looking at the history it seems like its the onset of peripheral neuropathy .
These abnormal sensation can be due to may causes , diabetes is one of them only. You should get NCV testing done for both lower legs . Also get Vit. B12 , vitamin D levels testing done . Their deficiency can also give rise to such symptoms .
Start taking a multivitamin supplement daily . It will help you up with the symptoms. You can discuss this with your treating doctor . Any other query please ask.
