Question : Numbness and tingling in toes after a sprained ankle and possible chip fracture of calcaneus . Wearing a boot and throughout day when elevate I feel numbness and tingling in toes. What does this signify? What are the concerns ?

Tingling and numbness in toes could be due to temporary compression of superficial nerve fibers either due to swelling itself or injury.
It will gradually weans off as the swelling decreases.
