What Causes Tingling In Right Arm, Redness And Swelling On Fingertips?

? Neuropathy
Detailed Answer:
Good evening
Thank you for writing on health care magic
I would like to ask a few more details before commenting on how to approach it further:
1. How long ago did the symptoms start? is it recent onset or has been going on for a while?
2. Do you experience it during winters only or is it the first episode you have?
3. Did you notice any color change anytime during the winters or other wise during exposure to cold water on your fingers?
4. Does it happen on your toes as well or just fingers?
5. Does it disturb your sleep at night?
6. Have you got your thyroid levels , blood glucose levels checked recently?
7. Any weakness in the hands or is it just tingling and numbness?
Well the sort of symptoms you are describing are more of neuropathy, that is the nerve is getting involved somewhere. Since it is not in 1 hand, it is more of a systemic disease affecting nerves of the both sides which we need to evaluate. DO let me know these queries. If needed we may have to get Nerve conduction studies done to evaluate for the same.
Await your reply

2. My toes are just fine, except my left foot which gets extremely cold to the touch.
3. i wake up all the time in the middle of the night with my hands numb, isn't really pinpointed to the same hand, it varies.
4. i have had liver function tests, kidney tests and my normal 3 month blood work, and they all came back good. Also had a ANA blood test done and it came back negative.
5. As far as weakness, i notice it a little in my left arm. I think i have a blood clot or a blood issue of some sort because it only affects my left side.
6. Its weird that only my fingertips are red, not the rest of my hand, the fingertips on both hands.
7. I had an ultrasound on my heart also at Saint XXXXXXX Heart Hospital in XXXXXXX Tn. GOOD HOSPITAL, i don't have the results as of yet, should hear something tomorrow. I asked the cardiac doctor could this be a circulation problem, he said he doubted it. But thanks for emailing me back, but what i have told you is everything they have done so far.

Good evening
Thank you for your reply. Well the symptoms you have described more fit in with nerve than a blood vessel. The numbness you are describing which makes you wake up in the night along with a bit of weakness can very well go in with the nerves. But the feeling of cold extremities still goes against it. I really doubt anything will come in cardiac echo either.
My suggestion would be to get an Nerve conduction tests, Vitamin B 12 levels and maybe a MRI of neck( but later). NCV will help us know the nerves which are getting affected causing the symptoms you are facing, since the doppler is already normal. Depending on the pattern involved, we can plan for further investigations and treatment. You can discuss with your doctor tomorrow to plan for NCV.
Do let me know the reports and further development. Would be happy to help you out and reach the diagnois
