What Causes Tinnitus?

Question: From last few days i think i am facing an issue with my ears. A chrip sound (friction - XXXXXXX XXXXXXX ) is heard in my left ear. Please let me now if it is normal or i need to be concerned.

Thanks for the query.
As per your clinical history it appears as you are having Tinnitus ( sound in ear ).
Tinnitus is a symptom . There can be many reasons for tinnitus .
Common are
1) wax
2) Infection
3) Eustachian tube blockage
4) Noise trauma
5) Hypertension
6) Vasular malformation
7) Psycogenic
8) Ototoxic drugs, etc.
If you are having cold which is common then it is due Eustachian tube blockage or infection in ear.
I will suggest you to please consult your ENT doctor because here clinical examination is very important to diagnose the real fact and accordingly treatment may be planed.
