What Causes Uncontrollable Sugar Levels Inspite Of Using Janumet?
Question: Hi, I have been detected diabetes 4 yrs back at the age of 27years, I am taking janumet50/50- twice a day and starvog0.3 mg twice a day, but sugar levels were not getting controlled and recently last week back I have been started with novomix50 20 units once during night time. Pls suggest if medicines has to be continued while taking insulin.

With time if the blood sugar levels are not being under control with the drugs you are taking, either dosages are increases or newer drug is added when we reach the optimal dose of previous drug. In your case addition of insulin is of that type.
