What Causes Unusual Mass On Right Testicle?

default
Posted on Wed, 9 Sep 2015
Question: I have what i believe is a mass on my right testical and on the tube leading to it. I can't remember it's name. It's painful and 25 days have gone by since 1st sign. I am almost 70, 6'0", 240 lbs, have lost 60 lbs in last 6 mos and otherwise feel pretty good. I take BP meds, had 3x Hart bypass in 2000 (grafts are=100% open), married for 40 yrs this month and pretty retired since 2001. Is the a good odds for a cyst or what?

Brief Answer:
It would be an Epididymal cyst or Funiculitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,
I suggest you should get it checked by a Surgeon or a Urologist.
It could be a simple Epididymal cyst or Funiculitis(Inflammation of the SPermatic cord)but the history of weight loss of 60lbs in six months is significant. Therefore, I advice you to get it examined and probably removed. Without examining it is very difficult to comment as to what it is.
After removing they should send it for a biopsy which would be able to tell what it is.
Do let me know if there are any further queries on this issue.
Take care,
