What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Post Pap Smear Test?

Question: I got Pap smear test done as part of my General health check up.It started bleeding slightly at the time of sample collection as well and it did continue whole the day. I also experienced some pain all through the day. Just wanted to check if this is normal, or is there anything to be worried about.

Hello, I understand your concern.
But it is very common to bleed like 3rd day of periods after PAP test and is because of the procedure only as the cervix is very sensitive structure.
There is nothing to worry and just apply simple pads and it will be gone by tomorrow.
