What Causes Vomiting, Acid Reflux And Intermittent Fever?

may be gastritis, best not to use ibuprofen cause worsen reflus
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
It would definitely not be a good idea to take advil or any med in that family because that would worsen the reflux symptoms.
This means no advil, aleve, cataflam, aspirin (unless less using for heart health reasons), ketoprofen etc
It is possible that the symptoms are due to food poisoning, this can cause gastritis ( inflammation of the stomach), with no diarrhea in some cases.
Food poisoning would mean ingestion of infected food, this could be viral or bacterial infection.
The severe reflux is due to irritation of the stomach lining. It can be excruciating.
Fever is part of the inflammatory process, this is the body's response to any inflammatory process.
The other symptoms are also possible infection symptoms.
In most cases, the symptoms resolve on their own after a few days.
Treatment would involve:(1) avoiding any of the medications mentioned. You can use paracetamol to help with your pain and fever
(2)hold off solid food till a 4 hour window of no vomiting, if this time has passed, start using very small amounts of dry bland food
IF still having nausea and vomiting then use small amounts of fluids only. Initially use 1 tsp to 1 tbs every few minutes, if this is tolerated, should be increased.
Use a sports drink (because also gives back electrolytes) or oral rehydration packet
(3)medication such as pepcid or zantac would help with the reflux medications.
The other medications (nexium, prilosec, prevacid etc) suppress acid production in the stomach better but they can take a few days to come into effect.
(4)rest, your appetite will return when your body is ready for food
(5)probiotics can sometimes be helpful though usually used with bowel involvement (diarrhea) ,but may still help
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

if developing other flu symptoms
Detailed Answer:
HI
Sorry about the delayed reply .
If you are developing other flu symptoms- nasal congestion, runny nose, cough, sore throat, ear ache etc, then the flu is possible but if there is no involvement of the respiratory tract (nose, throat, lungs), then the flu is not likely.
