Question: I have periodic episodic body tremors, shaking sometimes in my legs only, or full body shaking. It goes away after a hour, I get up and walk and I am weak. IMy vision has periodicall over the past three years, been blurry to the point where I was disoriented and couldn't see. So I have a CT, MRI, EEG and have been cleared of seizure activity. Next is a neurologist visit. to follow up. What do you think?>

Brief Answer:
Seizures still a possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

About 10 % of patients with seizures are not discovered by EEG, so seizures still remains as a possible condition that may cause your symptoms.

The diagnosis is clinical in this case and careful evaluation of your symptoms is of paramount importance.

Aspects of symptoms to be evaluated include: any warning signs, possible triggers (alchohol, fatigue, lack of sleep etc.), duration, consciousness during tremors etc.

Other possibilities include infection ( dental abscess, middle ear infection, urinary tract infection, skin infection etc) that may cause shaking by periodically passing bacteria into bloodstream, electrolytes dysbalance.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

I remain at your disposal for further questions and clarifications.

Take care.
