Question: My Ct says I have a subcentimeter cyst on the dome of my liver. Small amount of fluid in right adnexa and moderate amount of fluid in my posterior cul-de-sac. What does this mean? I have been experiencing excruciating pain in upper right abdomen and back area on right side

Brief Answer:
Abdominal ultrasound should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Have you had an ultrasound before Ct? Your symptoms are characteristic either for gallstones or kidney stone. Both stones can be invisible in the CT.

Small cyst in the liver is not the reason of your pain. And it does not need any treatment. Just an ultrasound once a year.

Right adnexa fluid and moderate amount of fluid in cul-de-sac are not the reason of the pain either. However you should consult gynecologist with that.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

My GI doctor performed an ultrasound that was clear. Endoscopy and colonoscopy showed mild diverticulosis. I previously had bulging discs in L4 and L5, tear in L5-S1 but after therapy that no longer bothers me unless my stomach issues arise. It is not the foods that I eat. My diet varies but overall healthy. Before my stomach swells i am constipated for a couple of days and then there is pain on right side of abdomen and lower right back. My gi doctor prescribed Linzess but symptoms continue to reoccur. Last episode was worst one where pain on right side was unbareable and I couldn't walk and swelling makes me appear to be 4 months pregnant. I don't know if GI doctors can help at this point because situation continues to occur. What is your advice?

Brief Answer:
Bile ducts should be checked.

Detailed Answer:
The next step in your diagnostic should be bile ducts and pancreas ducts diagnostic. You should have GGTP, AP, AST, ALT, amylase checked. ERCP procedure (endoscopic technique to check bile ducts) along with EUS (endoscopic ultrasound of the pancreas) should be done.
This is up to GI doctor.
