What Do My Lab Test Results Indicate?
Question: Hi,
I am aged 59 years male.
I have diabetis for the past 18 years. I do regular check ups and try my best to maintain blood glucose levels through balanced diet and exercise (I walk about 6 kilometers for one hour) for the past many years.
I got my tests done last week and I am concerned about few of the results.
My blood glucose levels are 134 fasting and 133 post lunch (after 1 hour 50 mins after taking breakfast).
My creatinine reading is 1.4. Last month it was showing 1.3. Always this reading varies from 1.3 to 1.4.
Albumin levels in urine is ++. This also varies between one plus to 2 plus always.
I consult diabetologist and I am under his supervision always.
Nevertheless, wanted to have your view and advise whether my kidney is impacted.
Regards

Brief Answer:
The values are under normal range
Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, The sugar levels are under control, though fasting levels show slightly higher to normal. If this continues, you may need to rise your evening dose of medicine.
Coming to your concern on kidney, Albumin in urine is normal in diabetes. The creatinine levels though towards higher normal, they are under normal range. I advice you to visit a local kidney specialist and have formal check. Any way as of now, with details provided you condition is satisfactory and nothing to worry regarding kidneys.
Thank you sir.

Do you suggest any natural remedies for controlling creatinine and albumin levels?
Right now I am taking medicine for both the problems.

Brief Answer:
Try the following natural remedies
Detailed Answer:
Sir, Try out these remedies
Drink herbal tea each day.
Herbal teas worth checking out include nettle leaf and dandelion root.
The idea is that these teas stimulate the kidneys and cause an increase in the production of urine. As such, more creatinine can be passed out of the body.
Control protein intake like meat.
Drink more water.
Make your sleep regular.
Thank you
