What Do Twitches On The Face And Joints Of A Person With Parkinson's Indicate?

Question: A friend who has parkinson's disease is experiencing twitches (says like popcorn popping) in face and some joints. Is this related to her Parkinson's??Thank you.
Brief Answer:
It is possible, but other causes need to be excluded.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
It is difficult to say if the twitching you refer about your friend is related to Parkinson's or not without medical examination.
However, Parkinson's disease may result in face and other muscles spasms or twitching, this is a possibility.
Before to be sure about this, other conditions such thyroid disorders, rheumatoid arthritis etc. should be excluded.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
