What Does A Blood Sugar Level Of 352 Post Food Suggest?

Question: hi doctor. my mother in law of 60 years currently shows 352 glucose level post meal (after 1.5 hrs within 2 hrs). Please let me know if this is a serious number and needed immediate medication?

If your mother in law is not diabetic before, she should consult diabetologist at earliest.
In that case there is a need for
- Detailed clinical evaluation.
- Investigations like
Complete blood count
Renal function test
Liver function test
HbA1c
Urine examination including urine ketone.
Depending upon clinical examination & test results appropriate management can be planned.

If she is already on treatment for diabetes she need modification in treatment depending upon her clinical examination and prior medical evaluation.
