What Does Burning Sensation On The Penis Indicate?

default
Posted on Thu, 19 Jan 2017
Question: so i have had a full panel of STD testing done, came back negative for everything, blood and urine samples, i did however have molluscum bumps on my penis, dermatologist froze them, more came an i was given podofilox,so used that as prescribed and they went away, now there are two more so i have used the PODO again. so theres the back story, but i have this annoying constant irritation/burning pain in only one spot on my penis and its under the corna of my penis on the upper portion of where the ring or glans so to speak is. This pain has come an gone, but over the course of about a month, but the pain has been constant for about a week now.

Brief Answer:
thank you for your question, I will try my best to help

Detailed Answer:
is there any rash in that area where the pain is? my best guess is that there may be a fungal infection in that area. you may want to use a topical anti fungal cream like clotrimazol which is usually readily available over the counter. herpes is also possible, unless it was included in the panel of testing that you had which was negative. it may also be a result of trauma or stretching of the skin, in which case it should just resolve with time. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any more questions.

Brief Answer:
thanks for the additional information, I hope we can figure this out

Detailed Answer:
if the herpes was negative, and there is no rash, it still may be fungal, I would suggest that you try an antifungal cream for a few days and see if it helps. if not, you should see your doctor again about it. you may also want to try a skin moisturizer, if the area seems dry. if any rash or lesion does appear, you should have your doctor look at it to figure out what it might be. I hope you find some relief soon.
