What Does Enlargement And Swelling Of Liver Indicate?
Question: Having bitting & pain issue in right rib from last 15 years and same is being found in sonography which shows enlargement and swelling to lever due to water logging.
Would like to know reason & remedies ?

Unlikely that the liver swelling is the cause of your pain since last 15 years. Such pain going on for years is usually muscular or dyspepsia (acidity) related. It is rare to be able to find a cause for such pain on investigations like ultrasonography, CT scan or endoscopy. If you can upload the ultrasound reports I will be better able to help.
But yes swelling in liver which is unlikely to be the cause of your pain needs further evaluation with liver function test to ascertain the cause. The enlargement and swelling of liver can be due to multiple causes like alcohol, viral hepatitis, fat deposition in liver which can be evaluated by blood investigations and then further course of action need to be decided depending on the reports.
You need to stop alcohol, if any, at earliest.
