What Does Fundal Height Of 33.5 Cm At 36th Week During Pregnancy Indicate?
Question: I'm 36 weeks pregnant. My last measurements are 33.5 cm and 36 weeks. 33cm at 34+4, 30cm at 31 weeks, 28cm at 28 weeks, 22cm at 24 weeks. I'm a bit worried as I'm measuring a bit behind. My blood pressure is 100/60, baby is cephalic 3/5, and heart beat 140bpm. Could this be IGUR ?baby is active, I'm 5 foot 7 and quite slim. Midwife keeps saying I've got strong stomach muscles

I only had ultrasound at 20 weeks. I don't have these to hand. I was told everything was fine then. The only info i have is what the midwife writes down on my notes and this is what i have written above. I don't have any more info to add. My blood pressure has stayed almost the same throughout and the heart beat has been similar also as mentioned above
Brief Answer:
NORMAL MEASUREMENT. DO ONE USG.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your response.
Fundal height (Pubic Symphysis to uterine fundus) would be 34 +/- 1.1 cm at 36th week of gestational age. Your last measurement 33.5 cm at 36th week is NORMAL and fetal heart rate (140 beats/ min) is quite good.
I suggest you to undergo one ultrasound scan to reveal detailed picture of fetal well being along with growth and development. Clinical assessment doesn't give you 100% fruitful result regarding IUGR. You must undergo needful investigation. Kindly, consult with your obstetrician regarding this.
Take healthy diet with added protein, drink more water to stay hydrated, take adequate rest in left lateral position and do periodic check up.
Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.
Wish your good health and successful motherhood.

One last question. I thought if you were 36 weeks you should measure within 2cm. So between 34-38. My measurement was slightly below this at 33.5
Brief Answer:
NORMAL RANGE IS 33-35 cm AT 36th WEEK.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your response.
I have already mentioned that STANDARD measurement of fundal height at 36th week is 34 +/- 1.1 cm i.e 33 to 35 cm. You have 33.5 cm at this stage and it is within NORMAL range. You have NOTHING to worry about that.
Hope, I have cleared your doubt. Kindly, close the discussion.
All the best and good luck.
