Brief Answer:
Congratulations, and I have explained the matter to you.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
First and foremost - congratulations.
After trying so hard, this is a very precious pregnancy.
I would ask you to rejoice, and more importantly - relax.
Let me explain and try to clear the confusion for you.
YOu were given Fertigyn to rupture the egg before 20 days.
Now, the weeks of pregnancy are calculated from the date of the last menstrual period, and not from the day of ovulation .
So you would have conceived a couple of days after ovulation, making you think that the pregnancy should be only 15 days old.
However, in our field, we include the first 15 days before ovulation too while calculating dates.
So if you add those 15 days, the pregnancy is now between 4 - 5 weeks old , and that is what your scan says.
SO the timeline is quite correct.
The date of expected delivery and further weeks of pregnancy, all are calculated based on the date of LMP ( Last Menstrual Period ) , even if ovulation and fertilization occurred after 2 weeks.
So your confusion is natural, but I hope now you can understand the dating better.
Take all due precautions now.
I think the travelling on the scooter should be cut down right now, till heart beat is seen in the baby, in repeat scan after a couple of weeks.
ALso, take all medications, particularly folic acid and progesterone as prescribed by your doctor.
Avoid intercourse till the heartbeat is confirmed.
Most importantly - relax and enjoy this beautiful moment.

If you write in via the general forum, the question might not come to me even though you mention my name, as other doctors can pick it up.
Congratulations once more, and loads of prayers for you.
Take care.
