I apologize for late reply.
Yes, patient's current problem of obstruction which required surgery is related to laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery indirectly.
Laparoscopic surgery should underwent well and this surgery is for weight loss which also affects fat metabolism of body. Therefore it is possible that due to post gastric bypass surgery thinning of small mesentery would lead to internal herniation at approximation site.
In other words, if laparoscopic surgery was not done, this problem would not happen.
