Brief Answer:
FIBROID OF NO CONCERN, PROVIDE MORE DETAILS

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
FIrst please provide me with a few more details, so that I can guide you in a better manner .
Are you having regular periods ?
What complaints prompted you to get a pelvic sonogram done ?
Are you having symptoms done in the form of - excessive bleeding, pain etc ?
A small intramural fibroid is of no concern - the size is too small to worry about.
Bulky uterus and an endometrial thickness of 6.9 is of consideration if you are post menopausal and / or are having irregular / heavy cycles.
Please let me know if this is so.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
GET BIOPSY DONE, TAKE CYCLICAL PROGESTERONE.

Detailed Answer:
Since you are peri menopausal, there would be hormonal disturbances around this time.
This is responsible for the thickened endometrium ( lining of the uterus ).
Still it needs further investigations.
First an endometrial biopsy should be done, also a Pap smear.
If these two are normal, then there is nothing to be done further in terms of investigations.
To confirm peri menopausal state , hormones should be measured - FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin.
For the periods, they will gradually stop.
Til then, you should take cyclical progesterone therapy for 3 - 6 months, as it will regulate your cycles till you ease into complete menopause.
Take care.
