What Does My Test Report Indicate?

Sir here by i have attached my report. Will it be a cancer please help me out. My wbs is high. My appatite has gine down.
Definitely not blood cancer.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.
After going through all your reports, based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. WBC is very mildly elevated. To think of blood cancer, the count should be in the range of atleast more than a lakh. Here it is 100, more than normal.
2. There are no immature cells in the peripheral smear. Presence of immature cells indicate possible blood cancer. They should be present. No presence, no cancer.
3. The high WBC is due to increased neutrophils. Possibly an acute infection or stress, which has led to reduced appetite.
4. Your stool also has no blood, indicating no problems in GIT.
5. If you have any burning urination or increased frequency of urination, an urinary tract infection can be thought of. Otherwise, you are very much normal, based on reports.
Not to worry. No cancer, maybe urinary tract infection - if you have any symptoms. Take plenty of water, try to eat well. Relax and avoid stress.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
Various studies or books have different standards.
For cancer, it is always in lakhs.
You are not eating well, thats why you are tired. At present based on reports, no possibility of cancer.
Eat moderately, exercise well and relax. You are still 38 yrs. Cancer risk is mostly in elderly usually (above 60 years).
If you so get in future (now, you do not definitely have), I will definitely be there to help you. Depending on type of cancer, therapy is available. Now, not to worry about future risk.
Any further queries, happy to help you again.

Platelet count normal.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
Gum bleeding in cases of blood cancer is due to low platelet count. Your platelet count is absolutely normal.
Dental care is necessary. Avoid too much flossing or excessive brushing. Now a days, excess dental care is commonly causing gingival injuries.
You can consult a dentist regarding that. However, I can assure you with this platelet count, blood cancer is not the cause of your gum bleeding.
Eat moderately, sleep well, exercise well and relax.
Hope it helps.

Do not rub gum for 3-4 days.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
Allow that part of the gum to heal. If the bleeding is present without you touching it or without injury, then it needs to be worried. Once you rub it, clot gets dislodged. Once the clot is formed, there wont be any bleeding.
It is common, when gum is brushed rigorously. Not to worry, everybody has it.

Protein rich diet to improve immunity.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Meyyappan,
Thanks for asking again.
Your leukocyte count at present is elevated in response to cold and cough. It will get back to normal on its own.
However, to improve your immunity, take a protein rich diet (Include fish, egg, pulses, legumes) along with moderate amount of carbohydrates and good fat. Add good amounts of fruits and vegetables. Eat at regular intervals.
Once your immunity is good, infection possibility is reduced.
Also include moderate physical activity in schedule. Sleep well and avoid stress.
Abnormal sleep and stress increases corticosteroids in body, thereby increasing risk of infection.
I am here to help. Anytime in future, you have any queries, do ask. Glad to help you.

Try enzymes containing medications.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
At your age, I would advise you not to use appetite stimulants. If only you are underweight, you can take it.
You can try any brand composed of chymotrypsin and trypsin like Chym forte or Chydase or anything. Only enzyme containing tablets or tonic is good for you to stimulate appetite.
Other than this, avoid other types as they have numerous side effects.

I am not able to eat a before. I had my last good food on last tuesday night. After that on wednesday morning my fear increased and lost my appatite. Will this fobipa reduce the appatite loke this. O have even come out of fobia but appatite is not back and so fear incrases again some time .
Take Chym forte and antacids.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
Appetite will improve in due course as the stress reduces.
You can take chym forte or any enzymes appetite stimulant, half an hour before food. It is very helpful. You can stop it after a few days, once your appetite is back to normal. Now, take multiple small meals (5-6 meals/day)
If you have any abdominal pain before or after food, you can take antacids. It will reduce gastritis secondary to stress.
Appetite will comeback with the stimulant. Eat tasty foods. Anything you like spicy, masala etc.

Hematological profile normal - low possibility
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
At this age, stomach cancer possibility is low, unless you have a family history of early cancer (brother, sister, parents having cancer in forties).
Carcinoma stomach will always have a predisposing risk factor like possible continuous gastritis since past ten years. If this history is not present, carcinoma stomach, it cannot be.
If you had carcinoma stomach, bleeding would have occurred internally increasing platelet count and decreasing hemoglobin. Both are normal.
Take antacids and enzyme supplements and have your food regularly.
If you have carcinoma stomach, you will start to loose weight, despite regular food.
Confirmation would require upper gastro-esophageal endoscopy. I do not think, it is necessary at present.

Yes, it would have shown.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Meyyappan,
Thanks for asking again.
Yes, a CT contrast abdomen done would have showed a stomach cancer, if you had at that point of time.
However, presently based on your clinical details, I can reassure you that you do not have stomach cancer.

Endoscopy initially for view and biopsy
Detailed Answer:
Hi Meyyappan,
Thanks for asking again.
Endoscopy shows from the inside, any abnormality. Endoscopy, if any abnormal area is noticed, biopsy can be taken for a proper confirmation.
CT scan would show if there is a tumor and if it has moved to surrounding areas or to lymph nodes.
Endoscopic biopsy, if its positive, CT scan is advised to identify if the tumor has spread. Endoscopy is usually better, as it can show even minor changes superficially.
If there is a invasive cancer and it has spread, CT scan can show it very well.
Hope it helps.

Weight loss - low appetite, dehydration.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
Yes, a small tumor of even 1 cm can be identified on CT scan.
2 kgs in ten days with loss of appetite, due to stress and dehydration is normal. Take good amount of fluids along with appetite stimulant and proper diet. You will recover.
Stomach cancer not seen on CT scan would never cause weight loss.
Hope it helps.

Yes, stomach should have been seen.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
I went through the report. It is an abdominal scan. They would have seen the stomach.
The report has mentioned only specific abnormalities. If there was any abnormality, they would have mentioned. It was done for a specific reason and they have ruled out it.
Not to worry. Even if they have not mentioned the stomach, it was normal - so they have not mentioned.
Hope it helps.
