first episode
Brief Answer:
Single episode does not suggest anything serious, platelet count may be done
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
A single episode of nose bleed at the age of 66 does not suggest anything serious.
There is possibility of trauma to the delicate mucosal lining of nasal cavity.
However, prophylactically, I would suggest you to get platelet count and peripheral blood smear examination.
If platelet parameters are normal, there is absolutely nothing to worry.
In case the episode recurs, please let me know at the earliest for further work up.
Thanks and take care
