Question: Ultrasound of abdomen says that liver is echogenic and attenuating consistent with diffuse hepatocellular disease.
There is an ill-defined hypoechoic area adjacent to the middle hepatic vein, measuring 1.5 x1.2x1.5cm. No intra or extrahepatic biliary dilatation is identified. Main portal vein demonstrates Hepatopetal flow.

MRI
1.Lesion characterization is limited in the absence of intravenous contrast.
2.1.5 cm Left lobe T2 hyperintense lesion, isotense to cerebrospinal fluid on standard T2 imaging, which minimally decreases in hyperintensity compared to cerebrospinal fluid on heavily weighted T2 sequences. While this may be suggestive of a hemangioma, this lesion is not fully characterized and remains indeterminate.
3.0.5 cm Right posterior lobe T2 hyperintense lesion which remains hyperintense on heavily weighted T2 sequences. While may be suggestive of a cyst, this lesion is not fully characterize remains indeterminate.
4.Likely gallbladder sludge.

Annual exam Complete Blood Picture was normal, but there were no tests done specific to liver.
Our general physician looked at the reports, not the images. We were told that they may be of Hemangioma.
