What Does This ECG Report Indicate?

A6 - Left Axis Deviation
A13 - Inverted P wave in Lead V1
Please could you give me a little insight.
It suggests possibility of left atrial enlargement
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Left axis deviation and inverted 'p' wave indicates that your left sided heart chamber particularly left atrium is enlarged (how much enlarged that we can know only from 2d echo)
If possible Kindly upload your ecg image so that I can confirm that findings also.
Left atrial enlargement is usually found in patients of hypertension, valvular diseases (even mild) and sometimes in primary heart muscle enlargement (dilated cardiomayopathy)
But at present we don't need to worry about this things because ecg is not 100% specific in diagnosing chamber enlargement.
So, my advice to you is -
Go for 2 d echo (sonography of heart) it will give your doctor proper idea whether any chamber is enlarged or not and it also shows any other problems I heart function also.
Also confirm with your doctor about your blood pressure and if required routine reports like blood sugar levels, lipid profile, thyroid profile and serum creatinine levels.
I hope that I have given you satisfactory answer. If you have any questions you are always welcome.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.

If required is it treatable?
No. Dear. Don't worry it's not serious.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Welcome back.
It's not at all serious. You can found this in many patients of hypertension even. Upto a certain limit it has no Longterm health hazards.
What I have previously advised that we can not relay totally on ecg. We have to confirm it with 2d echo, in which we can know with confirmation about the function of heart.
But at present not to be worried. You don't have any symptoms also that means it's not severe, so don't think about worst case scenario even.
You can post your echo report and ask for my guidance.
I hope I have given you satisfactory answer. If you feel same then Kindly rate the answer.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.

Usually it is Asymptomatic.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome back.
Usually left atrial enlargement is Asymptomatic unless it's size is too high. But as I have always mentioned don't think about anything unless you have undergone 2d echo study as it might come normal also.
Kindly go to cardiologist and ask all things I have mentioned and go for 2d echo study.
In patients of severe left atrial enlargement, they can feel breathlessness on walking, palpitations etc. The disease I have mentioned also has similar and common symptoms. So we can't rely only on symptoms. Proper clinical examination is necessary along with 2d echo study.
So, at present you don't need to worry about any disease, just go for 2 d echo study.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.

Yes. It can be. Gradually get rid of it.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.. Very sorry for your loss. But drug addiction is not a solution of any question.
Cocaine ingestion can cause high blood pressure and chances of brain hemorrhage is also high at young age. Cocaine ingestion directly or indirectly related with your ecg finding but it may not be the only cause. So if you are taking right now even then gradually stop it. If you have already stopped it then there will be no progression in your heart condition. So, don't worry.
I advice you to visit
rehabilitation center, meet a psychiatrist and get rid of Cocaine addiction and live a healthy life. At present the condition is very much under control.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.

Thank you too.
Detailed Answer:
Don't worry. You do not have much problem at present. So just enjoy the normal life. You have normal life time expectancy as others at present.
