What Does This P24 Antigen HIV Test Result Indicate?
I have done HIV test few Months back at your lab. Can you help in Interprating results?
What is meaning of p24 not determinable in test results?
your urgent help is appreciated

It means HIV negative.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.
The HIV duo test is used to detect HIV ANTIBODY 1/2 and P24 antigen of the HIV virus. The test can identify HIV infection through detection of the HIV-1 p24 antigen before the presentation of antibody response. This reduces the window period for detection of HIV infection by an average of 5 days (range: 2-20 days) earlier than other ELISA. The sensitivity of this test is EXCELLENT (99.99%).
You need not be worried about the comments such as not determinable. It usually is seen when there is no circulating antigen of HIV in blood. Meaning is negative. As far as the result in your case, you are HIV negative as both antigen and antibodies suggest the same. But as per international CDC norms you must get tested again between 3-6 months for confirmation.
Take care.
You can take a follow-up query.
If no clarifications then you can close the discussion and rate the answer.

Well come back.
As you have already taken the test at 3 months and it is negative. Still I suggest you to take a test at 6 months for confirmation. As window period extends to maximum at 6 months. Post that you will be at no risk whatsoever.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand that you got tested at 3 months post exposure but still I suggest you to get tested against at 6 months for HIV antibodies as in some patients it may be delayed until 6 months. This will be confirmation and for your psychological advantage. As for other problem it may be unrelated to HIV. You might have lost weight due to stress and anxiety. You must show for your seborrheic dermatitis to a dermatologist. We don't know what exactly causes seborrheic dermatitis. It seems to be a combination of things, including, Stress, genetic, medical conditions and medicines
Cold, dry weather.Sometimes, seborrheic dermatitis will clear up by itself. More often, it's a lifelong issue that clears and flares. It can last for years at a time, but you can control it with good skin care. All your investigations are normal and I see no cause to worry.
Best of health.
