Question : My fasting glucose is 83-85, and I'm not diabetic. This morning after eating chips (10- 11 pcs) and drinking coffee with cream and sugar (9 0z) at 6 am and having a hand full of almonds at 9 am, I tested my glucose at 9:30 am. The reading was 119. Could this be a normal reading?

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry, however routine and timely follow-up to continue..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX, Welcome to HCM..

I've gone through your query and understand your concern..

However I only have good news for you, which is all those blood sugar readings are just fine, so nothing to worry....

By the way may I know why did you check the blood sugar in the first place ?

Any family history of Diabetes ?

At your age even if there's no family history of diabetes, once a year preventive health check-up should be done which should also include Fasting, Post prandial blood glucose levels..

I hope this'll clear your doubt..let me know if there's any further queries..

Take Care
Kind Regards
