What Does This Lab Report Indicate?

Question: Dear sir,
My wife having a miscarriage in month of XXXXXXX the baby was 5 months.
But now further she is pregnant since last 2 month.but we did the test for the same.
Report was..
Anti TPO SERUM (CLIA)> 1300
FT3 2.95
FT4 1.11
TSH ultrasentive 5.3

Sir required your help & your suggested precaution for this time .
Kindly provide ur valuable help.

Hi,

I understand your concerns about miscarriage.

Her thyroid levels seem to be marginally high and she can start tab.Thyronorm 25 microgram on empty stomach in morning under her doctor's supervision.

She had second trimester abortion which means there could be some uterine factors. Hence I suggest you do get cervical encirclage done next month . This is best preventive measure.

Pl seen the the anti TPO which is higher than TPO >1300 ……
What is effect on the conditions on baby health as well for the mother.
Because currently she conceive with 6 week baby.
Pl suggest..

Anti TPO is slightly higher but is not asociated with adverse outcome. Starting Thyronorm is likely to take care of this.

Anti TPO antibodies wont lead to abortion.

Most important is cervical encirclage.

Ultrasound scan to decide cervical length

Hi,

Ultrasound scan can decide if cervix is short.

Cervical encirclage in your case can be put to prevent abortion in 5th month even if cervical length is normal.

It is done by good gynaecologist or Infertility centres. Costs around 20000 rupees.
