What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Question: Hi
I am 46 female. I had yesterday ultrasound on abdomen and pelvis as a routine followup of uterous fibroids but this time for continuous period for 16 days with light and same rythm of bleeding every day..the examination shows: anteverted anteflexed uterous with 4 fibroids, largest is 8x7.3cm at the left posterior wall of the fundal region with subserous and sub mucous extensions. The other prominent fibroid is seen at the left body region, subserous measuring 4.8x2.4cm. Endometrium is 16mm, regular homogeneous with well defined outline. No abnormal contents are seen.
It also shows right simple ovarian cyst 5.3x3.3cm and left simple ovarian cyst 4.7x3.3
In the right lobe of liver is hemangioma 12x9mm
Could you please be kindly explaining to me what all this mean and what is your advice

I ame aware of fibroid since late 2007.. i had complain of chronic constipation about 1 and half year before and lately something hard in my lower abdomen..the ultrasound reveald 19 cm fibroid immediately prescribed for excetion surgery in nov 2007. Followup ultrasound showed 3 fibroids increasing in size a little until reaching the size i told u in yesterday report. Ovary cests was first shown in previous 3 reports done almost yearly but the thick endometrium is revealed now in yesterday report for the first time . The previous report was in december 2014 was normal endometrium
This is the first time to bleed 17 days continuously... usually periods are 5-7 days with 18 days rest in between only in last year was irregular with few heavy periods of 9 days and some light ones with break of 2 months couple of times
I am not diabetic hypertensive or obese
I dont know how to upload the report..i already coppied the text to you before so no more info..in the report of dec 2014 the size of the right varian cyst was4.4 and fibroids was 7.6 and 3.6 cm
Please i need to know if all these indicative of something bad or can be treated or better to remove the uterus.. i am worried

I think you need some form of surgery.
An experienced surgery can remove only the fibroids ( myomectomy ) and biopsy of the thickened endometrium should then be taken.
IF the biopsy is normal, and you can find a surgeon who can remove the fibroids , then there is no need for removal of uterus ( hysterectomy ).
Otherwise, hysterectomy, with removal of both cysts is also a good idea.

hi dr. thanks for the advice. but won't be difficult to do surgery and if the endometrium is not normal doing another surgery? or better to remove all at once? and do i need to remove ovaries or cysts only? my Ca 125 reading is 44( normal range up to 35).. do i have hormonal unbalance after hesteroctomy? and complications to be ready for it.. i heared about gaining weight and i won't be happy with it thanks and sorry for many questions
