What Does This Ultrasound Report Of Abdomen Indicate?
Question: I just had a whole abdomen ultrasound, i have a mild fullness in the pelvo-calyceal structure, demonstrated in the right kidney. What does that mean? Is this critical? I had TAHBSO nov 28, 2013. Also have gallstones, no kidney stones, sgpt 29 and creatinine 0.8
Brief Answer:
it can be seen normally
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Mild pelvicalyceal dilatation indicates, the dilatation of renal pelvis. It's the part which comes out of the kidney and connects to ureter.
2. As there is no obstruction - either inside like stones or outside, which is pressing on ureter, so not to worry.
3. Mild dilatation is normal. Followup after 6 months maybe done once.
4. Previous surgery of uterus or ovary is not related to this.
5. Your sgpt and creatinine is good.
This is normal. Not to worry. Right side kidney is good.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

Hi doctor, thank you. Did this cause blood seen in my urine? Urinalysis is normal except for blood at 25
Brief Answer:
Possibly earlier stone.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
It was possibly a stone, which passed through earlier, which could have caused blood in urine earlier. It must have gone of in urine and as at present, no stone is there, there should be no blood in urine.
If you still have blood in urine, then need to suspect urinary tract infection. Get another urine examination.
If not, in future, take plenty of fluids and maintain adequate hydration. Renal Stone formation is usually prevented.
Hope it helps.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for replying.
If you do not have any burning urination, wait for 2-3 days, before getting urine examination done.
Allows any injury due to passage of stone, if any to heal.
Hope it helps.
