What Infection Could Cause Pre-term Labour And Membrane Rupture?

Question: hi i have recently been in hospital i as 22 weeks pregnant and lost our baby due to pre term labour. whilst in hospital my membranes ruptured and i was diagnosed with some kind of infection, the doctors could not diagnose the infection as no bug showed up in a urine analysis. whilst in hosipital i passed lots of puss.

1. I am sorry to know you aborted at 22 weeks.

2. It could probably be due to short cervix. Please go for cervical encirclage in next pregnancy.

3. The infection you mentioned should have been diagnosed by culture and sensitivity test of pus. Now it is difficult to diagnose retrospectively.

4. Please continue the medicines prescribed by your doctor.
