What Is The Ideal Feeding Schedule For A 8 Month Old Baby?

You may increase the amount of feed as per demand of baby
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for asking on this platform
Giving 3 major meals and 2-3 snacks along with milk is sufficient for proper growth of the baby at this age.
Baby should be breastfed(if breastfeeding) at least 6-8 times including night time.If not breastfed formula milk with proper dilution should be given 4-5 times a day,as you are giving. As milk is the major source of fluid it should be given in such amount to meet the daily requirement.
The fluid requirement at this age is 100-150 ml/kg/day and the average weight at this age is about 6-8 kgs.So you may increase the amount of formula milk as per the demand. If the baby is not taking large amount at once, you may also increase the frequency.
Similarly 3-4 major meals made of various cereals and lentils with vegetable is sufficient for this age.
Each serving should be of 8-10 spoons or half katori.Add new food items 3-5 days after the introduction of earlier item to assess if there is any intolerance of allergy.
You may add butter to the meals to make it more energy dense and plata be.
Try different items(cereals, lentils, vegetables and fruits) daily so that the baby does get bored.
Also I would suggest you to visit your pediatrician to find out other causes if any for improper weight gain(weight should be around 50th centile).
Monitor the weight of baby on the growth chart to assess whether the change in diet plan is helpful or not.
I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you need any future help.
