What Is The Procedure For The Delivery Of Dead Baby?
Question: What is procedure for eight month fetal death..if small enough would d and x or d and e be used in tn usa
Brief Answer:
whole process is just like normal delivery
Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, I understand your anxiety related to the issue.
At 8 months baby is too big to be taken out by d&c or any other minor operations.
It is just like normal delivery and has to be induced and then the process is same as in delivery at full time (complete 9 months).
Visit a gynecologist at the earliest and get a meticulous management at the earliest because of high chances of infection and bleeding problems.
Take care

What if it is very small for gestational stage I know a d&c would not be used I was asking about a d&x or evactuation..and how long does a d&e take
Brief Answer:
gynecologist examination
Detailed Answer:
I know you are a bit scared of the delivery part but at 8 months it is just like delivery, let it be any smaller in size.
And the whole evacuation process can take anyway between 12 hours to 3 days even with best of the medicine.
But a proper examination by a gynecologist is very important, and then we can discuss further management according to the examination findings.
