I would like to know the zanocin zyrup is a right medication.

Usually such fevers are caused due to viral infections where antibiotics are not likely to be effective. Still sometimes superadded bacterial infections are sometimes present and some doctors prefer to prescribe antibiotics alongwith. Zanocin is an antibiotic and has been given to control any bacterial infection, if any.

If you have already started Zanocin, please complete the course. If not yet started, you may get a routine blood count done first and if it indicates a bacterial infection, surely you can start, but not otherwise.
