Respected DOCTOR myself dipali from assam.Iam a widow widow with my only child reading in class 12.Iam the only earning member in my family.For last 6 months iIhave been suffering ENT problem.In assam no doctor saying me what happens to me.At last Iwent to banglore and tympanoplasty had done.Ireturn back to my home town and join in my service.Now the another problem arises it is swelling at my faceand its neigboring areas.for last three days i was suffering with cough and mild fever .Doctor prescribe mesignoflame,tablet Zanocin200mg tab lagynocet 5mg hexidine mouth wash and dabour honttus.Yeasterday night Itook all the medicines .But Iam feeling very uneasyand cannot sleep well.i open the internet and see this page.Doctor i want to know actually what happens to me.How can Iknow actually what happens to me.How can i relief from all these problems,what should i do.Idonot want to die.ihave the responsibility of my son.Iwant your advice.Please help me.with regards Dr Dipali.

For the above problem surgical correction by tympanoplasty is the only way of treatment. Swelling over face on the operated side some times appears ,but mostly this disappears in 3 or 4 days by medical treatment in the form of-

Hello Welcome in H.C.M. I have gone through your query regarding your ear problem even after tympanoplasty. By your clinical story it appears as you were suffering from hole in ear drum along with recurrent ear discharge and loss of hearing. For the above problem surgical correction by tympanoplasty is the only way of treatment. Swelling over face on the operated side some times appears ,but mostly this disappears in 3 or 4 days by medical treatment in the form of- a- Antibiotic. b- Analgesic and anti inflammatory. c- Proteolytic enzymes like - Trypsin and chemotrypsin.
