Why Can't Pantoprazole Sodium Be Taken While On Omeprazole And Ranitidine?

Question: I have just been advised that my pharmacy will not renew my prescript for Pantoprazole Sod because I take Omeprazole and (otc)Ranitidine as I recently has pnuemonia, also I find that neither meds act as goodn as Nexium. I've taken thease medication for years and this the first time I have been told to stopn taken both and consult a Doctor. I have a family doctor and have contacted the office, however seeing your notice as I was looking up the medicine thought I get faster answer from,while I wait on my doctors reply. THANK YOU. Stop omeprazole and Ranitidine and revert to Pantoprazole!

I have reviewed this information. It is not advisable to take all these medications at this time. That is why you must not be allowed to take them at the same time. Because Pantoprazole works better for you, I will suggest that you stop the other medications and revert to pantoprazole for greater benefits.

In all, stop the other medications and pantoprazole would be reinstated.
