Will It Be Safe To Take Duromine Along With Oroxine Cz?
Thanks for the query.
Let me first congratulate you on new arrival.
It is common to gain some weight during pregnancy due to various reasons and more so in your case due to hypothyroidism. I hope your thyroid profile was checked during pregnancy and the dose of oroxine adjusted accordingly as it is important to have the right doses in order to lose weight.
Regarding the use of duromine, my suggestion would be not to take duromine - because it is stimulant drug and with lot of side effects - palpitation, tremors, hallucination, irregular heartbeat, mania, depression and many others. Besides that there are reports of possible interaction with Oroxine.
It is good that you are aware of being overweight; try to make changes in diet reducing calories and high carbohydrate as well as start some light exercises which can be increased gradually to burn calories.
Please inform me your current height and weight and how much you gained during pregnancy (or your prepregnancy weight)?
I would like to know what are your latest free T3, free T4 and TSH level and what dose of Thyroxine (Oroxine)?
Please continue to take Oroxine and repeat thyroid function to adjust dose of Oroxine.
Hope this information helps you. If you have any query, I will be happy to answer that.

Thanks for your input.
I agree that you have indeed put on lot of weight which is affecting your physical appearance. I do not advise any of my patients to take duromine in view of the side effects associated.
Besides that, as pregnancy reduces thyroid production, it will be prudent to repeat Free T3, Free T4 and TSH and depending on the result of thyroid function dose of Oroxine needs to be adjusted. I would recommend doing that instead of stopping oroxine. Moreover stopping oroxine can lead to worsening hypothroidism - this can go against weight loss programme.
Therefore I would still recommend diet and exercise as they are indispensable.
You are right Redactil (Sibutramine) is banned due to side effects.
The only drug available for obesity is Orlistat. You can discuss with your GP about this drug.
Hope this information helps you to take good decision, please keep me informed about progress.
If you have any further query, I will be happy to answer that.

Thanks for the follow up.
I can understand your strong desire to reduce weight. However, it is my responsibility to inform you the correct information that, Orlistat is contraindicated during breastfeeding. Therefore, you have to wait for some more time.
In the mean time, take care of your diet and some light exercises. Regarding your query, Orlistat reduces weight and can be taken with Oroxine. You can take help of medication with consultation of your treating Physician after 6 months.
Hope I have answered all your queries. If you have no other queries, you can close and rate this answer. I will be happy to explain on any issue you may have.
Good luck
