Will Missing Dates For Contraceptive Intake Affect The Menstruation Cycle?
Question: I have been on Trivora for many years. When I started my new pack in February, I always start on a Thursday. I accidentally started on the first Sunday of the pack. I took the first 4 pills twice (finishing from my XXXXXXX pack.) I called my doctor after realizing what I had done. I was about in the third week of my Feb. pack. He told me to stop this pack. He wanted me to start a new pack on this past Sunday. I should start my period on Thursday. Is this going to mess up my cycle?

If you have taken 4 pills twice and have already completed the third week of the fresh pack of february , then it is better that you stop the pack and wait for the withdrawal bleed to start. It is unlikely that that the menses shall be disturbed .
Instead you can start the fresh pack from day 2 of next menses from the first pill of the pack, even if the period is not resumed exactly on thursday or till sunday.
You can start the pack on day 2 of next menses, so rest assured.

Thank you for the reply. i started the new pack on Sunday (2 days ago). I am having some withdrawal bleeding. I guess my question is will I start my period on Thursday?

As you have already started the pack 2 days back and you are already having the withdrawal bleed , then you will not have the bleed again on thursday. the present bleed shall reduce and then stop over next few days. just continue the pack that you have started and you would be protected for the month from pregnancy.
