19 Year Old Having Headaches. Need To Get MRI? Could It Be Due To Stress Or Tumor?
I am a healthy nineteen years old asian male who weigh 200 pounds and is 6 foot 1 inch tall? I have a headache for days it starts about on hour after I got up everyday and stay with me for the whole day. I have searched online and I think I have brain tumor. I am really nervous right now and although the headache doesn't affect me in my daily life such as sports or school work , it doesn't go away. Am I thinking too much which caused an anxiety disorder or I should get my brain checked out and do an MRI or a CT scan? By the way I do have lots of stress right now as I will be graduating from high school in less than a week.
Hi there, thanks for asking. The headaches from brain tumors are usually worse in the early morning, when you are still lying down in bed. The kind of headaches you have are more similar to tension headaches. They are related to anxiety. You mentioned that you are experiencing some stress related to finishing school, too. It is good to find a way to cope with the stress after talking with a doctor. Best wishes.
