2" Incision In Epigastric Region Due To Enlarged Gall Bladder In Laparoscopic Cholecystecomy 3 Weeks Ago. Can I Swim ?
I had a laparoscopic cholecystecomy 3 weeks ago . The surgeon had to make a two inch incision in the epigastric region due to an enlarged gall bladder . He said everything looked like it was healing nicely about a week ago, but I feel as if the two inch incision is not completely healed. I want to go swimming in a river with friends. Is this a good idea?

In my opinion you must consult your surgeon whether the process of healing is complete or not. Healing is to be completed externally as well as internally because swimming in river require a lot of muscle work.
Usually the laparoscopic surgery requires about 2 weeks for complete healing without any complication.
So its your surgery who can give you a better idea about the idea of swimming because he know what he has done and what kind of rest or work he can allow to you.
