2 Month Old Child, Gastric Problems, Constipation, Indigestion. Prescribed Milk Of Magnesia. Suggestions?
hi doctor my baby is 2months old n he has too much of gas problem from birth. My ped says tat his food is not digesting n he doesn pass motions everyday. He does toilet everyalternate day n tat to jus once, only after trying home remedies. Pls suggest wat to do. my ped has prescribed milk of magnesia for motion n neopeptin for digestion .

You did not mention what milk you 4e giving to your baby.
I assume you are breast feeding.
Gases are common in the small babies and you nicely burp the baby after feeds and also inbetween during feeds.
The costipation may be due to inadequate intake -so you feed more frequently and watch.
Do not make it a habit to give medicines for passing stool!
