Had Gastric Sleeve Surgery Done. Safe For Me To Try Milk Of Magnesia?

About three weeks ago,I had the gastric sleeve surgery done. I have been on liquid and puréed food since then. I haven t had a bowel moved for about two and a half weeks, and was told to try milk of magnesia. Is it safe for me to try this? Also, it recommends to have 4 tbsp of the medicine and a full 8 oz of water. Since my stomach can only hold 3-4oz, how should I go about taking the milk of magnesia with results?

Hello,

Yes, you may take milk of magnesia but without taking so much of it, as it may cause some gases that may irritate you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
