2 Year Old With Continuous Fever, Cold Sores In Mouth And Bleeding Gums.Viral Infection?
Child have continuous mild fever, cold sores in mouth with bad breath, bleeding gums . What could it be? My 2 year old daughter has been sick with a mild fever for about 3 days. She has cold sours in her mouth and bad breath. She went to a dentist 2-3 weeks ago and we were told she had healthy gums and teeth . Tonight while brushing her teeth her gums started gushing blood. Is this a virus? Any idea...
Fever with cold sores in the mouth needs to be examined by a doctor to find out the cause and treat accordingly. Yes, a viral upper respiratory tract infection can cause similar symptoms and with a blocked nose, the child will breathe from the mouth and can have a bad odour. Kindly ask your daughter to rinse her mouth with Listerine at least two to three times a day. This shall give her some relief till you consult the doctor.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
