2.5 Year Old Kid Diagnosed With Nephrotic Syndrome And Prednisolone For Over A Month
My 2.5 yrs old daughter was diagnosed for nephrotic syndrome .She is on prednisolone for over a month now. protein levels in urine ( dipstick test) has gone up from (+++) to 4+ & blood cholestrol levels have shot up above 700..Does this mean she is not responding to steroids.what would this deterioration infer & whats the worst to expect
hi,
ideally your child should have responded to the therapy by now but it does not show any response which means 2 things- either the treatment is not affecting your child or may be your child is not getting adequate treatment for the same. please consult a pediatric nephrologist for the same.
