Welcome to HCM! RWMA (Resting Wall Motion Abnormality) means that all the FOUR CHAMBERS of the heart are not beating in unison; in your father's case it's the INFERIOR WALL (mainly comprising of left ventricle), which is three times thicker than right ventricle, which pumps blood into the body. HYPOKINETIC inferior wall will mean that its movement is slow/ diminished/ asynchronous in comparison to rest of the heart musculature which is due to CAD (Coronary Artery Disease) which is single/ double/ triple vessel disease due to ATHEROSCLEROSIS / narrowing of the lumen of coronary arteries, due to cholesterol PLAQUES resulting in partial/ critical/ complete loss of blood supply to the affected portion of MYOCARDIUM (heart muscle) in a wedge-shaped fashion with its base inside, since they are END-ARTERIES. An LVEF (Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction) of 55% to 70% is satisfactory for proper blood circulation which indicates fair LV function. A clot in LV (left ventricle) indicates turbulence/ sluggish flow of blood in LV due to reduced movement of myocardium. However the heart valves are functioning normally as there is no Mitral/ Aortic/ Tricuspid/ Pulmonary valve REGURGITATION (back - flow) as evident by CFI (colour flow imaging) studies.
