3 Year Kid Suffering From Geographic Tongue. Treatment?

My son at 3 years old developed geographic tongue .. He was born with a milk protein allergy he has supposedly outgrown but has had nothing but triubles with stomachs issues and stuffiness. We have been to enterologists and allergists and now he has developed severe sharp chest pains that debilitate him momentarily and bring him to tears. Everyone including the cardiologist say he is fine but the geographic tongue is in two areas at a time now... I'm curious because I've also read its linked with people with auto immune diseases. I've done everything short of seeing a hemotologist. Help

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
I understand your concern.
Do not panic.
If it geographic tongue then it does not need any treatment. It is a normal phenomenon in some children.
The sharp chest pain maybe due to cramps which usually occur due to electrolyte abnormalities or it might be due to costochondritis/pleuritis/gastritis.Your physician will be a better judge to diagnose these.
Give him plenty of fluids in a day.
Hope this answers your query.
If you have any other queries kindly direct them to me.
Wishing a speedy recovery.
Have a nice day.

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Do not worry.

Geographic tongue is normal. Nothing needs to be done.

Do not go around doctors like that. Have faith in one good doctor. Some times take a second opinion if required.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
