35 Weeks, About A Cup Of Water Broke, Feel A Heavy Pressure, Sharp Pain In The Groin And Lower Back. Labor ?
I am 35 weeks in and about4 hours ago I thought my water broke but it was only about a cup of fluid. I didn t start having contractions but as time went on I just began to feel a heavy pressure and a general sharp pain to the groin and lower back. If I move it hurts. I have to sit up leaning back slightly to get any kind of relief even though it is very minimal.
Hi,
You did not mention whether you are still leaking. If there is no further leak, the draining must have been due to a small hole in the membranes and the rest of them are essentially intact. Even then, you should immediately consult your doctor for further advice. Your symptoms suggest that probably the baby has descended and onset of labor has occurred,i.e., the cervix is beginning to dilate. Take complete bed rest and get immediate attention. Good luck.
Hello,
You need to get to the hospital immediately.
You cant measure the amount of water, and in conditions like oligohydraminos the amount of water will be less.
Sometimes contractions can star late after water broke.
If the water has broke and labor is late may cause complications like infections and even affect the baby.
Get to ER immediately.
Bye
